The department of Nutrition and Dietetics is currently working on the following three pillars: a) Offering nutrition courses for under and post graduate health science students in Mekelle University. b) A collaborative research project entitled “Innovative Food Products to Address Global Malnutrition in Ethiopia” which is undergoing with the University of Saskatchewan Canada and c) As part of community services project, the staff members of the department are working as Member of Ethiopian Food and Nutrition Policy Working Group, and consultancy on the study entitled “the level of food security, resilience and livelihood among drought vulnerable population of Ethiopia”, besides, courses are offered for Axum and Samara university post graduate students.
