Pascal Roos, Cooperation and Cultural Counsellor at the French Embassy in Ethiopia, along with his colleagues have held talk with Mekelle University’s top management at the President’s Office on June 6, 2017.

The discussion mainly was focused on esatblishing French Language Center at MU and Academic Collaboration in areas of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Dr.Kindeya G/Hiwot, President of MU, welcomed the delegates in his office and discussed on potential areas of collaboration and partnership for mutual benefit. In the meeting, he pointed out that the MU is currently running expansion programs for graduate studies in light of MU’s vision in 2025 to be one among the top 25 Universities in Africa. To this end, the president noted, MU needs wider external cooperation one of which could be made with the French Universities.

The delegates expressed their willingness to cooperate with Mekelle University in capacity building through provision of educational opportunities, renewable energy and other institutional priority areas.
