The International Summer Program "Engineering for Developing Communities”. The course is led by the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology for the past few years, and will be taught this year in Mekelle, Ethiopia from mid-July to mid-August in collaboration with Mekelle University.
The program provides a hands-on, real life learning experience in rural communities. The program challenges students to approach problems with innovative and critical thinking, and provides them with multi-disciplinary tools to address a wide range of engineering and development challenges in a sustainable and holistic way.
The course is open to any undergraduate\graduate students from any university in the world. Although the majority of the students come from engineering, it is not restricted only to this field.
