Dr. Haddush Goitom has been appointed as Scientific Director (with the Rank of Vice President) of EiT-M, Mekelle University starting from January 20, 2017.

He has been a permanent academic staff of Mekelle University since July 2002. During his 15 years of service in Mekelle University, Dr. Haddush has been Head of the Civil Engineering department, head of Research and Postgraduate programs in Civil Engineering School, Head of Water resources and Environmental Engineering Chair, Head of the UNESCO-water chair at Mekelle University and Deputy Scientific Director of Ethiopian Institute of Technology - Mekelle.
Haddush Goitom (PhD), 39, is an Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering (specialization in Hydrology and Hydraulic Engineering), EiT-M, Mekelle University, Ethiopia. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Mekelle University, Ethiopia in July 2002. In June 2006, he got his Master of Science Degree in Hydropower Development from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway and in 2008 he was awarded a Doctorate degree in Hydrology and Hydraulic Engineering from Free University of Brussels (VUB), Belgium.
It is to be recalled that the post has been vacated by the departure of Dr. Gebremeskel Kahsay, who now heads the Education Bureau of the Tigray Regional State, Ethiopia.
