Best achiever female students from College of Natural and Computational sciences (CNCS) pay a visit to Raya Brewery PLC on May of, 2018 G.C. The tour was organized by the College Gender office to motivate and recognize outstanding female students and also to correlate the theoretical knowledge with the practical works by visiting the nearby industries in the Region.
In the educational trip about seventy six female students with cumulative above 3.25 CGPA were visited, of which a total six of them are more than 3.75 CGPA.
W/o Tsehaynesh Weldegebriel, Gender Focal Person at the college, in her speech said that “the objective of this award is to support, motivate and encourage female students in the college. She added one of the key emphases of the office is to scale-up and to increase the participation of girls in technology and innovation.
On behalf of the college dean Mr. Hagos Hiete, Institutional Transformation and Quality Assurance (ITQA) Head at the college, awarded certificate and he promises that the College as well as the university will support to the female students in all aspects.
The college has a total of 511 female students under the seven departments (Information Science, Biology, chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, sport Science and Statistics) and school of earth sciences.
