According to recruitment, procedure of Mekelle University notes that:

  • Female candidate who fulfil the minimum requirement shall get an additional 10% of the total points she has scored on top of her total calculated points until the academic staff gender ratio reaches 50:50 at the University level.
  • Candidates for recruitment shall be evaluated as follows:
  1. CGPA 50% where the candidate with the highest grade receives full point;
  2. Relevant experience supported by objective evidence 20% where the candidate with the highest grade receives full point;
  3. Presentation 30%

    1. The Applicant must LL.M degree (or above) in law; he/she must also have first degree in law in regular enrolment;
    2. For lecturers, CGPA of 3.00 (2.75 for female) and above at bachelors degree;
    3. Master’s thesis result must be very good or above; applicants may show equivalence if their thesis is rated with letter grade or other methods;
    4. The School gives credit to publications in reputable publication outlets.
