About Journal
Momona Ethiopian Journal of Science (MEJS) is established in December 2008 by Mekelle University to promote the cause of advanced study and research in all branches of physical, biological, chemical, geological and computational sciences. It provides a platform for the scientists to exchange ideas among themselves and interact with industry. It is a peer reviewed international interdisciplinary electronic science ejournal and will be available on the WWW with free access. It is published in English, half yearly and constitutes a volume a year. It operates in a manner similar to a conventional paper journal but with no cost to the user to read or publish manuscripts.
MEJS provides a means for communication and exchange of research results and other more general information among scientists and others interested in various aspects concerning Earth Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and related disciplines. It tries to provide an international forum for the scientific discussion of techniques and approaches leading to a higher degree of efficiency in scientific knowledge and its application on the ground. At the same time, MEJS being ejournal it facilitates rapid review, speedy processing of manuscripts and timely dissemination of information.
Focus and Scope of the Journal
Momona Ethiopian Journal of Science (MEJS) focuses on the research related to the Earth, Physical, Chemical, Biological and Computational Sciences. The scope of the journal includes all aspects of geology, chemistry, physics, biology and mathematics. It publishes original peer-reviewed scientific papers covering both basic and applied aspects of science including interdisciplinary. The ejournal is devoted primarily to original research papers that present work of national or international significance. It will also include short communications, invited review papers, general review articles, book reviews, letter to the Editor, comments and critique of published material, information related to conferences and any other relevant topics from time to time. Manuscripts from scientists working in academic institutions, industry, companies and as consultants in Ethiopia or elsewhere, having national and international appeal are accepted for publication. The number of papers published is going to vary depending on the number submitted and approved by the peer review process.
Submission of Manuscripts
All manuscripts should be submitted in electronic form to the Editor-in-Chief. The electronic form which is preferred, the manuscript should be in single file (inclusive of text, tables and figures) either in PDF or Word format without any password control and sent to mejs@mu.edu.et if the size is big send to taddej2002@gmail.com. The manuscript presented as a paper in any proceeding, or submitted to other journal for publication needs clearance before it is considered for publication in MEJS. A copyright form duly signed by the author or authors should be sent to the Editor-in-Chief once the manuscript is accepted for publication.
