Huge Congratulations are in order for author Mrs. Kokeb Gebru for her release of the Self-Care Handbook on Trauma Healthcare, especially designed for healthcare workers and the wider community in local language. Mrs. Kokeb is currently a lecturer in Mental Health within the Department of Psychiatric Nursing, and have been part of the academic staff since 2009, currently a PhD candidate. Over the years, she has taught multiple courses related to psychiatric disorders, treatment approaches, and clinical attachments.
In addition to her academic work, she has served as an MHPSS (Mental Health and Psychosocial Support) Advisor to the Regional Health Bureau , Education bureau and Bureau of women affairs during the COVID-19 pandemic and throughout the war, contributing to crisis response and system strengthening.
