A key moment was the partnership signing between Mekelle University’s College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CVAS-MU, Ethiopia) and the Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (LVRI-CAAS). The agreement, signed by Dr. Abrha Bsrat (CVAS-MU) and Prof. Haixue Zheng (LVRI-CAAS), focuses on joint research, technology transfer, scholarships, and digital data infrastructure development.
This partnership is set to deepen Sino-Ethiopian collaboration in animal health and production, and position Mekelle University as an active player in CAASTIA’s global innovation network.
