​Under the timely theme "Reimagining Law and Governance in Post-War Ethiopia," the conference opened with a welcoming address and event overview by Vice Dean for Research & PG Studies and NORHED II Project Coordinator, Dr. Tsegai Brhane (Associate Prof.), alongside editorial remarks from MULJ Editor-in-Chief, Gebreamlak Yaebeyo.
​The day features academic presentations and deep-dive discussions on critical legal landscapes, including:
​Extra-legal governance and judicial independence.
​Structural gaps in transitional justice policies.
​Legal and practical protection frameworks for IDPs.
​Constitutional reflections on federal and electoral systems.
​Bringing together faculty, legal experts, authors, and postgraduate students, the forum is paving the way for critical scholarly reflections on Ethiopia’s legal future.
