A deligation led by the France Ambassador to Ethiopia, Remi Marchaux visited Mekelle University today morning. His excellency Ambassador Remi Marchaux and his crew diacussed with the management and the French Universities' alumnae in Mekelle University on the pre and post war situations of Tigrai in general and Mekelle University in specific. Researchers of Mekelle University have presented in power point the pre war situations of the university and the damages caused yet due to the conflict. The Ambassador in turn underscored that France will play its role in the restoration of Tigrai, and Mekelle University in particular; especially in the areas such as heritage and agriculture.
Besides, both Ambassador Remi Marechaux and the president of Mekelle University, Dr. Fana Hagos, have signed a memorandum of Understanding on the renewal of the bilateral agreement of continuing the French Language Training Center. It can be recalled that Mekelle University has been providing a French Language Training for the last couple of years.
