Italian Delegates lead by HE the President of Lazio Region Francesco ROCCA and HE Ambassador Agostino Palese paid a visit to Mekelle University, today Oct.31st/2023.
Dr. Abdulkadir Kedir, MU's Vice President for Academics, in the occassion extended his appriciation to the Italian delegate. He furthermore thanked the Italian partners for their immense support so far; and called the delegates to further strengthen the bilateral relationship and play their key role in the revitalization of MU.
HE the president of Lazio region, Francesco ROCCA in his part said the main target of his team's visit is to help the people of Tigray; and restore MU. HE Ambassador Agostino Palese also stated that his embassy will stand with MU in linking the university with the potential Italian partners.
The management of MU moreover, shared ideas on bilateral opportunities with Prof. Mourizio SIMMACO, from La Sapenza University and delegates from Italian Cooperation for Development.
The delegates finally visited Ayder Comprehensive Hospital.
