Papers on the issue of damages on Tigray Geez heritage, the impacts and ways forward were presented and discussed in the seminar.
Vice Dean of CSSL, Dr. Tsehaye Gebrelibanos in his opening speech said, "the seminar has paramount importanc  in the process of documenting the impacts of the damages faced against Geez heritages and manuscripts".

Mekelle University held discussions with Menschen fur Menschen on bilateral cooperations.

 Country Director of Menschen fur Menchen Ethiopia, Yilma Taye visited Mekelle University. On his visit, he made discussions with the University's Top Management on partnership in the areas rural development, health, education and Natural Resources Management.
 

A Team from Mekelle University held discussions with Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) Ethiopia.

FAO representative in Ethiopia, Ms. Farayi Zimudi and her team made discussions with MU team on establishing a working team comprising Mekelle University, FAO Ethiopia, FAO Tigray and Tigray Bureau of Agriculture. They moreover, identified priority areas for mutual partnership and collaboration. They also made deal on finding out opportunities on how Mekelle University  could be engaged in the ongoing projects of FAO; searching for possible logistics support and collaborating further in mutual resource mobilization.
