National Conference on Peace, Justice and democratization in Ethiopia has commenced at Planet Hotel Mekelle .
In his welcome speech MU AVP Abdelkadir Kedir (PhD), said peace ,justice and democracy are inseparable and significant for survival hence need to be uphold as society .

Ambassador Degife Bula ,Director of the federal Law and Justice institute, on his part added his remarks on the inseparability of peace, justice and democracy for a long-lasting stability and development in the country and beyond .
But, to find a sustainable solution for what he called today's "bigger questions" in Ethiopia ,the Ambassador reiterated on the need for unreserved commitment from all citizens .
He also said the conference aims at reforming and transforming the justice apparatus as per the inputs gained .
The Conference, organized by Mekelle University School of Law in collaboration with the Federal Justice and Law institute ,aims at assessing the scenarios and challenges of post conflict justice, Examining challenges and opportunities maintaining sustainable peace ,exploring challenges and opportunities to democratization and democratic transition, scrutinizing the interplay between or among peace , justice and democratization in Ethiopia .
Post conflict peace building, post conflict justice and accountability , the interplay between peace ,justice and democratization , challenges and prospects of the path to democratization , and achieving national consensus and harmony are the thematic areas .
The two-day national conference is expected to end tomorrow .
